SAMANTHA STOREY is a Nashville-based award-winning writer, producer and creative director. While pursuing a degree in Music Business at MTSU in Murfreesboro, Sam commuted to a two-semester internship at Sony Music Nashville and Sony/BMG record labels on legendary Music Row. Though she was frequently a coffee runner, the experience also helped her gain valuable insight into the evolving (and devolving) music industry in Nashville.
After graduation, Sam joined the production office of USA Network’s Nashville Star as a PA, then as a Mobile Marketing Tech for Hurricane Interactive Promotions, where she traveled the country with bands like Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Rascal Flatts, and Jason Aldean.
During a break, she jumped on a temp position as an Assistant in the Creative group at CMT (Country Music Television), part of MTV Networks. It was a great creative opportunity and outlet and she continued to work there for the next 10 years as a writer, producer and director on everything from episodic promos, to custom branded spots, premium launch spots for original programming, trailers and brand presentation tapes. In this position, not only did she grow in her creative endeavors, she also met and directed some of her musical heroes including Reba, Dolly Parton, Connie Britton, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town and more.
In 2018, she left CMT to pursue writing and freelance creative directing and producing, an pr she enjoys without the hustle of an office. Clients include: 2c Creative, Southern Fried Design Barn, Prime Recording Studios, CMT, and Ryan Rowland Creative.
When not on the creative grind, Sam is an aspiring foodie (in as much as she likes cookbooks and visiting new restaurants), a “voracious” reader (and #bookstagrammer), bourbon and wine enthusiast (not together, of course) and has Kon-Mari’d her wardrobe to perfection approximately one time. She lives in downtown Nashville with her boyfriend Josh and rescue pitbull, Alley.
